Memorial Day Weekend with the Goddess!!

This weekend Pardon Our Style had the privilege to style our Beautiful client and sister, Sophia Powell for the Lewis Wedding in Houston Texas!

Sophia is naturally beautiful so pretty much anything we would've chosen for this second time around mother to be would look gorgeous. We know that Sophia loves bright colors and bright like the sunshine also definitely describes Sophia's personality.

Pardon Our Style wanted to choose something our client would feel stylish and definitely comfortable in especially while pregnant. So we choose this beautiful Peach goddess/maxi dress long & flowing and of course we had to expose her toned arms, and that cute baby bump! Our motto for our clients is to help them find there feel stylish self inside & out. I truly believe we did just that with Sophia Powell.

Styleluxe2016... Global edition

The Style Luxe fashion show was a global affair!! The night was filled with women from all over the world, with one objective, to empower one another!!! As you know fashion not only brings women together, but allows you the opproutinity to swipe beauty secrets and admire the women right next to you!!!!

The ladies of PardonOurStyle were so grateful for the opproutinity to be part of an amazing event. We jumped at the chance to style the Style Luxe promotional photoshoot  as well as the fashion show...We partnered with
Nadine Ford of @_glam_sqaud and Natasha PrettyWings Wright of
@thediamondbutterfly.

The ladies wanted an African inspired photoshoot, because the Style Luxe fashion was to feature all 7 continents. Natea and I were fascinated with the concept! We decided to stay away from bold prints, because that would be to obvious and the norm. PardonOurStyle is far from average. We aim to make a fashion statement. So we decided to go with solid bold colors, and African accessories from Loreal of @goddessfashion factory.

This was the outcome!!! These are behind the scenes pictures.

I believe we captured the the beauty of sisterhood. What do you think?

Our next agenda was gathering looks for each continent. We reached out to @twisted vintage, and @flarecouture.

16 candles....

So the ladies of  Pardonourstyle, had the pleasure of styling a young beauty turning  16. By the name of Abigail.. As we walked down memory lane of our own sweet 16, we knew from the start that this young lady had her own image and point of view!

This was the first time we were styling someone as young as Abigail. We were excited for the challenge.  She indicated that she wanted something short, form fitting. She wanted the color blush, white  or burgundy.

We immediately fell in love with a blush dress we found at forever 21. But Abigail was not in love. lol. We showed her a few more options that didn't fit her liking. So we went back to the drawing board.

Secretly Natea and I all of sudden felt out of sync with her generation.
We always thought we were pretty cool and hip. So we asked her to share some images of what she wanted!
When she did ,we immediately
understood the look she was going for.

We found a store called Dior Fashion, where we found her entire look! A one stop shop! We love that!!!

It was an amazing simple chic black strapless dress, with an amazing slit.
We paired it with a black and gold sandal, and a gold cuff, and neon bag with gold accents! This was the end result ...

Tatiana-Myriam Nicoleau "the yearning"

Last night we had the pleasure of styling an amazing young lady with a beautiful spirit and talent, by the name of Tatiana-Myriam Nicoleau. Her voice is used as an instrument to sing the Almighty's word, and she delivers it everytime.

Pardonourstyle's goal is too always make our clients shine from within. She made our job easy to say the very least.

After speaking to Taitiana and getting to know her a little better, she told us she wanted to stand out as an individual and didn't want to look like anyone else. She noted she loves kimonos and clothes that flow.

We immediately knew she, was boho chic with a hint of rock. She has colored green hair, which makes her standout!

So we partnered with www.thetrendytruck.com, we were able to pull some fantastic items. The quality of clothes on the trendy truck is well worth catching up with them. Make sure you follow them on Instagram
@thetrendytruck, you won't regret
 it.

We pulled this amazing sleeveless swing
dress and this wine fringed kimono, from The Trendy Truck. She had a faux leather leggings already so we were able to pair it with the looks we pulled.
 The necklace is from
@clothesoverguysboutique. The bracelet is from pardonourstyle's archives. Her make up was beautifully done by Nadine Ford of @glam_squad.

Pardon Our Style.- styling fun

So I love to style my family,  cause I already know them on a personal level.I know what I can't push them to do, but I also know they trust me completely. Therefore, I can style them with ease and grace.

My sister and I were recently invited to a wedding, this past weekend. As you can see below our styles our completely different, she loves color. And she always wants to cover her arms. Like every women we all have a part of our body that we do not want to celebrate! So when she told me that she wanted me to find her something to wear, I already knew her criterias. So I found this amazing dress and gold shoes via jcpenny. The color and style was exactly what she wanted except she wanted something a little tighter to accentuate her curves!

I loved the dress as is, but as a stylist
and sister, I've learned compromise is necessary to complete the vision! I happen to have this amazing wide belt from www.trendytrucks.com. That way it gave her slimmer silhouette.

Fashion Love Affair

My love affair with fashion began way before I could completely write the word itself. One of my first memories, with my love was watching my mother and her sisters get ready for a party or a family event. I was and still am enamored with that first look. They would strut out the room, looking like they could conquer the world. It's as if their high heels, and clothes and make up were some type of weapon! The funny thing is, I never looked at them before they went into the room. To me they didn't really exist till the armor was put on!  What I didn't realize is that they did exsit before the make up, hair and clothes. If anything their true superpowers and beauty was always there.

I say all this to say, my love for fashion, like any love has grown into a more mature love. As a girl I was vain and captured by the surface of it all. But as a woman, I am looking a little deeper! It does not matter how beautiful the shoe,if my feet are dirty, it's just a matter of time before I taint the shoe. I believe that when you look good you feel good. But with that same breath, if you don't feel good from within, slowly but surely it seeps onto the outside.

For years, my love affair with fashion has kept me from exploring and allowing myself the freedom, of shining from the inside out, like cutting all my hair off, or completely allowing myself to be vulnerable with my beauty.

My journey with my love is not done yet! I am just getting started! I hope you stay along for the ride.
