Macy's Tuesday!! Changing the Face of America!!

This past Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the Launch of Fashion Icons! It was diffinialty not what I expected. I expected the she see a new clothing line, and new trends that I might fall in love with, but when I walked into the men's dept at Macy's in Aventura, I saw a live band with police officers from all over Miami Dade County. I must say it was a band I would pay to see very impressed.

To see the officer in a different light smiling and interacting with the public. It's very rare that you see police officers smiling not that they dislike their jobs but in reality it's a serious one to have. It takes a special person to protect and serve our community, depite all the happening going on in America not all cops are bad it's those few that take advantage of having the authority . So next time you see an office don't hesitate to say hello!  I also had the pleasure of meeting Neki Mohan of Local 10 news, and like my husband always says when he sees her she's a Trini!! :-) LOL

Thursday Fashion Networking

The ladies of  pardon our style were out and about, in the Wynwood area. We enjoyed and mingled with some entrepreneurs in the local area! We learned a lot about believing in yourself and not allowing anyone to deter your dreams. Natea and I believe in our venture in this fashion world. We are fresh, and hungry and are ready to explore.

The journey has not been easy so far and we understand mistakes will be made. But we are both determined and know that our fashion story will be good!

Now about the event we met a young lady who owned a fashion truck called
Fierce Finds. The mobile botique is chic and spacious fitting room. And had a few fashion finds.

These sunglasses were definitely a fierce find.

We also met Beth Sobol, of Sobol Fashion Productions, inc. She was a former fashion model who decided she still wanted to be part of the fashion world but decided to run and open her own fashion production company...

Overall it was a great networking event and I left this event feeling more powerful and determined to make my dreams of being a wardrobe stylist a reality!

Dream Board Sunday!!!

Today I have finally made time for something that should've completed a while ago, but better late than never. My Vision Board AKA Dream board!! Just wanted to share a few picks of what it looks like to get started. So far so good. I'm actually really enjoying determining what's important in my life.

I believe that if you have goals this is a great way to get them prioritized & organized, sometime I know that my mind can get overwhelmed at times with all the day to day hustle, having a husband working full time and still trying to pursue getting into Fashion so prayerfully this Dream board will keep me sane and focused!!
My Goal!! Natea W. :-)

Part 2 Met Gala Tuesday!!

Alrighty so I'm not going to say to much about the Met Gala because, I feel my styling partner said enough but, I just wanted to to share my point of view about the highly anticipated event for Fashion!! The China theme awesome. I think was a great! I do believe some might have missed the mark in my opinion. So I'm going to post the people I feel hit the mark.

These couples to me hit the mark!! classic style and yes we have seen these looks before in some way, shape or form but I believe that's what fashions all about everything get reinvented, hopefully it get better every time. I know I went overboard with the pics, but I don't do well with sooooo many fabulous options!!

I absolutely love a well dress man!! Every single last one made my cut, I would have loved to be anyone on these gentleman date minus Justine Beiber. Too young for me. So fresh & so clean!! Well done fellas.

Ok ok I have to agree with my partner on this one. These dresses to me are amazing but yes we have seen them all before on all these beautiful ladies. Don't get me wrong if I had the body best believe I would have on something simular. So I'm a little said I didn't see more of the China Theme. "Though the Looking Glass" aspect Yes these garmets were absolutely see through. Beyounce my Virgo sister you alway look amazing and yes my styling partner knows me well. Younce can do no wrong with me. Love ya B xoxoxoxox

MetGalaMonday!!!

One of the biggest nights in fashion. All the stars are  out and ready to show up and show out!

Over the years the MetGala has become a spectacle for fashion lovers to make their mark on the red carpet. As the world watches in awe. And I love every moment of this wild show.

The Metgala's theme this year was all about the China looking glass! Some of the ladies of the red carpet took it literally and others attacked the look effortlessy.

These are just a few of my fav looks:

Now that mentioned my fav looks these were some of my not so fav looks:

I truly enjoy B. But the beehive will have to kill me but I was not a fan of her look this year. Don't get me wrong she looked beautiful, and she wore that dress and gave face like only B, can but I have seen this dress before. I know my styling partner will disagree, but that's why I love what we represent two complete different points of view.

Ms. West was another disappointment! Her dress has also been seen before. But of all the disappointments, my biggest let down was Jlo. She too wore the same dress that as Kim and B.

Here we go:

Womp! Womp!

RachelRoySaturday

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting the incomprable RachelRoy...
She is not only a fashion designer; she is a women who supports and advocates for other women.

I truly enjoyed meeting her and supporting her cause. The event was focused on a women's fund based in Miami. She had a Self Rule wall, that highlighted advice from all different women.  Each posted note placed on the wall donates $10 to the women's fund.

The energy was high and the second floor at Macys in Dadeland became Rachel Roy's showroom.  Her new collection is full of trendy looks and a colorful array of looks. I even bought me a self rule shirt, signed by Ms. Roy herself...
